My name is Frances and I love to crochet and share my interest in my craft with other 'like-minded' people!  I have been crocheting since I was 'knee high to grasshopper', so 50+ years! As a young child, I went to stay with friends of our family and was fascinated by watching ‘Aunty Jean’ as she hooked up beautiful creations with such speed. Aunty Jean showed me the basics of how to form the stitches in order to hook a granny square and my passion grew from there – the rest is self-taught.  Since a very early age I have been successfully teaching right and left handed learners – adults and children.  I am a City and Guilds trained and qualified adult education tutor and have also studied and obtained certificates to teach Basic Skills up to level 4.  Previous careers have involved adult tutoring at the same time as being an early years and special needs teaching assistant. Hence, also being special needs and disability awareness trained to work with children and adults.  I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and am covered with liability insurance.
